Digitale transformation - we don't just talk about it ....
"The world is changing, uncertainty cannibalizes any satisfaction, our leading industry is stumbling, ...." That could also be the case I start this greeting, but I will consciously avoid it. It's normal for things to change, and technology plays a key role in this. However, the perceived speed of change does not correspond to the actual one! Because we humans are still the ones who have to recognize and apply the associated potential and thus drive or even avoid further development of the economy and society. However, the boundary conditions are more complex than ever: the world has become "smaller", and this is what they are for Communication technologies and application systems developed by us are largely responsible. And therefore not every step we take is progress!
Our institute has set itself the task of using information technologies in such a way that they significantly support our lives. The short-term benefit takes precedence over the long-term, i.e. we think visionary but act evolutionary. We are convinced that an iterative approach to developing new applications is much more effective. "Learn from mistakes!" This does not become a finger-pointing phrase, but rather a practical reality. Our numerous, impressive references speak for themselves. And so it is inevitable that, together with our partners and clients, we often come to situations where we have to completely change the direction or even stop a project. All in all, our success proves us right: methodology, know-how and foresight set us apart and allow us to make an important contribution to digital transformation.
A good decade ago in 2014, I phrased the sentence: "The digital transformation will only have taken place when we can no longer distinguish are digital from analogue". Hardly imaginable back then, but today it is, especially due to the massive advance of generative AI in many places tangible. However, we have also developed further at this point, and that is why I am adjusting my statement from 2014: "The digital transformation will never come to an end!".
