Entries on computers are still largely made by hand. This is independent of whether it is a desktop system or a mobile device such as a smartphone or a smart watch. In many cases, graphically based input methods are via touch or the use of a computer mouse or similar ones systems to be found. Analyzes of the resulting dynamic data traces of hand movements which are used as time series data can be recorded. By doing so, this should provide statements about people's mobility and additional diagnoses of risks, such as incorrect sitting positions, incorrect postures/positions and poor posture. Conversely, active movement assistance and recommendations for therapeutic applications should also be possible on this basis.
.A prototype we developed showed how basic data generation and pre-processing of computer mouse data can be done. Using data mining methods, person-specific hand movement artifacts can be identified for further processing. This solution can be used directly in the context of medical studies, both in diagnostics and therapy. The universality of our approach allows it to be transferred to other areas of application, such as in school or professional environments, by analyzing movement patterns and, if necessary, training them.
